Actually, my theory is the number of nominations will hurt you. For instance, there are twelve staff members.
Say a total of five of them like Indestructo Tank, and the other seven are divided between two other games (four in favor of one and three in favor of another). In which case, you would win. However, because both the original and sequel are nominated, three of those five in favor of your game might vote for the original while the other two vote for the sequel. They're all still voting for your games, but the number of votes for yours just slipped below the number of votes for one of the games the other seven are divided over (one of which has four votes, outnumbering your three and two).
